  • 100 year old Maple floor with a particleboard patch to be repaired
    The Maple floor is only 2" wide. Standard width is 2 1/4" now days. We took reclaimed Maple boards and cut them down to the narrower width for the repair.

    Sanded and finished with Bona Traffic HD finish, satin sheen. This homeowner supplied her own flooring materials which were bought at Horner Flooring Inc, Dollar Bay, Michigan. This flooring was some of the nicest materials we had the pleasure to work with; great milling, color content, overall great look.

    This owner removed carpet from their Oak floors and discovered walls had been moved and there were voids in the Oak floor for Anderson Floor Company to repair.

    The floor was repaired piecing the new floor into the old floor. The job was then sanded with the Atomic Dust Containment equipment, stained and finished with Mega finish, satin sheen, manufactured by Bona.

Once sanded and finished, there was a slight variation in color between old and new wood because the owner elected to apply no stain on the floor. Sometimes a light stain will help make the difference in natural wood color between old and new wood less noticeable.
